ISO 15189 clause 6.4 stops being the difficult one
Equipment is where assessments slow down, because it is where records are thinnest. The equipment file stays complete as a by-product of daily work, then prints on demand — identity, acceptance, maintenance, calibration, breakdowns and full history. In Dubai, where the DHA now ties licence renewal to accreditation, that file is what the decision rests on.

Is it really free?
Yes — unlimited instruments, unlimited users, no trial clock. We build it because labs that manage equipment well are the labs that go on to need a full LIMS, and we would rather be useful to you first.
Will this help with ISO 15189 clause 6.4?
It gives you the records clause 6.4.7 asks for: unique identity, acceptance and installation, maintenance and repair history, calibration with metrological traceability, and the full history each instrument accumulates. Accreditation still needs your own policies, competence records and internal audits — but the equipment file, usually the messiest part, stops being messy.
Do I need a LIMS to use it?
No. AssetLab is standalone and works whether your lab runs on paper, spreadsheets or any LIMS. If you run CrelioHealth, instruments can be linked to their LIMS records.
